Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM) is located in Vasant Kunj, Delhi and was formed in the year 1985 by Dr. Zeenat and her colleagues from their hostel rooms of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi with the objective of providing treatment and rehabilitation service to young drug dependents. SPYM is working very efficiently from 1985 and has grown to many other places of India and its rehabilitation program is helping many people. In the last three years, the SPYM has launched a special initiative in India to reform and rehabilitate juveniles in conflict with law and with a dependency on narc
State Anti Drugs And Prohibition Council is a non-profit organisation, established in 1975 that works primarily in the domain of Health and Media & Awareness. Its primary office is in Guwahati, Assam.Screens educative films on drug abuse and ill effects of drug use. The screening are held in rural and tea garden areas through its mobile cinema unit. It holds meetings, seminars, group discussions and exhibitions. It also distributes communication materials to generate awareness. During the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, it distributed masks made of khadi and hand sanitizer bottles among the media persons of Demow. It is a statutory body that was formed by the Assam government in 1974-75 to spread awareness against drugs and alcohol. It was formed under three Acts namely, The Assam Liquor Prohibition Act, 1952, The Opium Prohibition Act, 1947 and The Assam Ganja and Bhang Prohibition Act, 1958.

“COSEHDA” “COMMITTEE ON SOCIO-ECONOMIC AND HEALTH DEVELOPMENT ASSAM” was established on 2nd May 2006. The organization is registered under “Society Registration Act, XXI of 1860 (Reg. No. RS/GOLA/239/B/08). Simultaneously the organization has also received Govt. Of India’s Income Tax registration no. under section 12AA of the Income Tax Act 1961, Memo No.39/12A(a)/CIT/GHY-1/2O12-13/3255.57 Dated-20-11-12, and under section 80G of the Income Tax, 1961,Memo No.65/80G(5)/CIT/GHY-1/2013-14/2427-33 and thereafter FCRA registration, PWD Act Regd. And Domestic Violence Act registration. Right from the inception, the Society helps the community by serving the poor through implementation of various programmes for development of the Society. The registered office of COSEHDA is at Jayanagar, Sixmile, Guwahati-22 Assam. The Society has 10 (Ten) Executive Members, General Members, Office bearers, field staffs and large number of voluntary workers.
The NESPYM is fighting drug and alcohol addiction Guwahati. The SPYM is a large national foundation with many areas of interest, of which de-addiction is an important part. SPYM has been running de-addiction centres for over 10 years. The Guwahati branch is one of four SPYM centres in the country. At the centre, patients receive a variety of treatments aimed at freeing the individual from addiction. The centre uses counselling, psychotherapy, AA and NA meetings, detoxification, as well as a variety of others. The professionals at NESPYM desire to help you or your loved one beat addiction.
