It was constituted in 1936 and since then it has been laden
with a lot of work tracks. In view of new trends of thoughts and
ideology it was reconstituted in 1965 and a group of educated
unemployed youth took active part for reorganization of all
activities. Being located in a remote place it could not develop by
leaps and bounds, but endless and fastidious effort have brought the
organization to a pride of place and the dimension of its activities
has assumed a wider significance.

Now it is one of the oldest and
biggest organizations in the District of Lakhimpur and in the North
East as well having multifarious wings of activities for welfare of
society, specially women, youth and adolescents, addicts, the
oppressed and the down-trodden, child development, health care of
older people, socio-economic growth, sensitization and awareness of
rural folk, socio-cultural promotion etc. The organization has a
promise to bring about a desirable change in the behavior of rural
people so that they can be able to face the challenge of time and
space.
