How The "Barbie Syndrome" Spills The Barbie World Beyond The Toy Box?

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are the shiny new Barbie and Ken in the block. But sorry, Greta Gerwig! They are not the only ones here!

Thanks (or not) to the dolls' allure, people have taken up cosmetic surgeries to live the fantastic plastic life.

The "Barbie syndrome" is used to describe the desire to achieve the "Barbie" physical appearance and lifestyle.

Valeria Lukyanova, a Ukrainian model, resembled Barbie through makeup and breast implants.

The American TV star Lacey Wildd is known as the "Million Dollar Barbie" for multiple breast augmentation surgeries.

TV star Rodrigo Alves spent over £373,000 on cosmetic procedures to resemble Barbie's boyfriend Ken!

Justin Jedlica, an American businessman, also earned the moniker "Human Ken Doll" for his Ken-like appearance.

Experts, however, label this "Barbie syndrome" as a type of body dysmorphia.
