Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed, a 16th-century Hungarian noblewoman has gone down in folklore as a  “vampire” who bathed in the blood of young virgins to retain her beauty and youthfulness.

She is said to be  the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula

However, a recent investigation into her historic trial and indictment revealed that the countess might have  suffered from “Beauty OCD” and sexual sadism disorder.
