Codependency Test

Do you put others’ needs before your own? Do you find it difficult to say “no”? Or, do you rely on others to make decisions in life or love to depend on another person in life? Take this codependency test to know about your codependency habit.

What Is Codependency?

Codependency is a pattern of behavior where a person becomes excessively reliant on another person, often to the point of neglecting their own needs and well-being. Codependency can occur in any relationship, but it is commonly associated with those with family members or partners with addiction or mental health issues.

However, it can also develop in other types of relationships, such as friendships or work relationships. Codependency can stem from a variety of causes, including growing up in dysfunctional families, experiencing trauma or abuse, and struggling with addiction or mental health issues. It can negatively affect an individual’s mental and emotional well-being, as well as their relationships with others.

Codependent individuals often have:

  • Low self-esteem and relying on others for validation and a sense of identity
  • Prioritize others’ needs and desires over their own
  • Feel responsible for others’ emotional well-being
  • Difficulty setting boundaries
  • Fear of being abandoned or rejected by others
