Boundaries Are a Language of Self-Respect – Mental Health

Every boundary you set is a sentence in the language of self-respect. It says: I matter. My energy matters. My peace matters. And anyone who cannot read that language is not meant to stay in your life.

Boundaries communicate values and needs. They filter out relationships that drain energy while strengthening those that respect limits. Though setting boundaries may feel uncomfortable at first, it is a vital form of self-protection. Respect for boundaries is respect for the person behind them.
